How to Calculate Watts (Power) for Your Devices
Calculating the power (in watts) required by your devices is simple. To calculate the power your device needs, you need to know the voltage (V) and the current (A) of the device. The formula is:
Power (W) = Voltage (V) × Current (A)
For example, if you have a device that uses 120V and draws 2A of current, the power required by the device is:
120V × 2A = 240W
If you are using multiple devices, you can simply add up their individual wattage. Always ensure that the total wattage does not exceed the maximum output capacity of your power station.
